For the possession of the" Dickins cup" the
 Royal Oak and Anchor clubs, who tied in the
competition with 36 points each, met at the 
Shakespeare on Tuesday evening to contest
the final. The Royal Oak opened strongly, and
maintaining their lead lead of 18 on the first
section of three eventually won by a margin of
    20 pins.

A representative team of twelve players
comprising of the "Best of the league" met the
cup winners on the Royal Oak alley on Thursday
evening, when an interesting match went in
favour of the visitors by 14 pins. The champions
generally below par their play from the point -
hitting standard not being up to the mark of the
winners, for whom the King's Head representative
reached the highest figures by good skittling.
