Tony Meadows, Chairman, together with Committee Members, Wendy Harris, Gordon Harris and Charmian Sheppard, rounded off the season with visits to two ladies teams – presenting awards to their players who have been playing for 50+ years.

Starting the evening off at St. Mark’s Community Centre, Sue Griffin from the Halfpennies who was celebrating her birthday that night, was surprised to find a Committee presence on the alley – and even more surprised when the Chairman, Tony Meadows spoke to pay tribute to her 50 years skittling. Sue was presented with a glass memento together with a Certificate. Sue is an integral member of the team, regularly top of the averages and enjoys  keeping the team on track………

It was only a short journey then onto the Hillview Community Centre, where the

Ex Pats Ladies were just rounding up their first leg against Smiths Beez, for a presentation to Pat Stiley.

Pat, an original team member, from when they were the Old Pats Ladies, has seen 50 years skittling and remains one of the greatest supporters of the Ex Pats Ladies – never losing sight of the fact that win or lose skittles is a great game. Pat was presented with a glass memento together with a Certificate of Achievement by the Chairman.

Committee were pleased to be out and about meeting the teams – reuniting with skittlers they hadn’t seen for a while, and not interrupting the games for too long !!
