After three hands Matt took a 4 pin lead.   Simon stepped up in the fourth hand and floored a 13 spare to give him a 3 pin lead into the fifth hand.   Going into the last hand Matt was 2 pins down on the game.    Matt scored 7 and Simon an 8 so Simon through to the second round and last years winner out in the first round.

Going into the fourth hand George was just 1 pin ahead    Connor scored 9 in his las hand and George just 8 but was enough to put him through to the second round.

Aidrian struggled to find his form in the first half and was going into the second half 14 pins down.   Aidrian found his touch in the 5th hand but all too late with Steve being 20 pins ahead going into the last hand.       Steve finished with 41 and going though=rough to round 2.

Just two pins between them after three hands with Andy being the one ahead.    Andy failed to score in the 5th hand so Ton now 5 pins ahead going into the last hand.   Ton scored just 3 giving Andy a chance to pull back pins unfortunately he only pulled back one so not enough to get him through to the next round.

Ken failed to score in the first thee hands although was very close and just going past the front each time.    Right at the last Ken floored a 12 spare.    Ken played in the spirit of the game and never gave up.

Steady skittling by Stewart gave him a 11 pin lead into the 4th hand.    Neil picked up his game in the second half but not enough for tonight and Stuart going through with 46 to Neils 39

Just two pins between them going into the second half with Louis being the one ahead.     Going into the last hand Doug had taken the lead and 2 pins up.   Louis failed to score so bowed out for this year.

Mark was going into the second half 14 pin ahead on the game.    Mark continued to pull pins and went through to the next round 20 pins ahead.   Mark failed to score in the last hand and Tony pulled back 6 pins but all too late and Mark going through 37 to 23

Steve stepped up in the 3rd hand and floored an 11 spare to give him a 7 pin lead into the 4th hand.   Steve stepped up in the 4th hand and floored a 14 spare.   Going into the last hand Steve was 15 pins ahead.   Steve then floored another spare in the last hand and through to the next round with 52 and top score of the night.

Steady skittling by Geoff and he was 15 pins to the good going into the 4th hand.   Going into the last hand Barry had pulled back pins but still 8 pins down.   Barry pulled back pins in the last two hands but not enough to see him through to round 2
