Cheltenham Skittle League

Executive Committee Message to All Teams – July 7th 2020 Update

Cheltenham Skittles League remains in full operation.

Presently, our 2020-2021 Season matches have been cancelled.

The Executive Committee acknowledge that some teams do not have access either to electronic updates, or the website/Facebook page, therefore both this and our first Message will be sent to every registered team in paper form.

Registration Fees will be held over for the 21-22 season unless a team wishes to withdraw from the League, when fees will be returned. This does mean that you will not retain your current League status.

If during the delay in the season an alley closes, and a team disbands, fees will be returned.

The Executive Committee are aware the Semi-Finals & Finals need to be played out.

We can confirm that once the situation regarding the playing of skittles is clarified, the games will be arranged.

This year’s AGM will be a virtual AGM, using Zoom.  All teams will be invited to send a representative, (either the Team Secretary or another team member). Date to be set shortly.

Representatives will need to download the Zoom app (at no cost to themselves) and register their proposed attendance via email, to the Hon. League Secretary.

Following which, details of how to join the AGM will be sent to those representatives via email.

During the AGM a Constitution will be available, and if accepted, fixtures will be created for all registered teams, for possible use January – April 2021, in a shortened friendly season, culminating in the Front Pin in May 2021.

The reinstatement of skittle matches is totally dependant upon advice and guidance from National and local Government, and Executive Members are monitoring the daily/weekly changes affecting that guidance.

It is our hope and intention that a full season of League and Cup games will return in September 2021.
